Raising Awareness about Aquaponics

Eduponics' Innovative Approach to Raising Aquaponics Awareness Among the Youth and the Public

Global warming is a phenomenon that is scientifically proven, measurable, and observable. It is also a phenomenon that poses a very real threat to the livelihoods of all living things.

Climate change and environmental degradation are becoming more pressing issues. That's why we need to start greening schools and making sure they are sustainable - for the students who learn there, for the land they occupy, and for the future generations who will inhabit them.

Measurable Engagement

Eduponics Go Green is on a mission to raise awareness about the transformative power of aquaponics among young people and the broader public.

To achieve this, we've partnered with talented artists, musicians, and youth engagement groups to create unique and captivating content that resonates with our target audience.

One such collaboration is with Tinta Tribe, a dynamic music group from Cape Town's townships, who have created a powerful song for Eduponics called "CAN Music."

By introducing practises such as aquaponics, sustainable permaculture, rainwater harvesting, composting, and worm composting, students can now practically learn about and live sustainable lives. In this way, they are better prepared for the future.

Music is a universal language that speaks to people of all ages and backgrounds. By combining our passion for aquaponics with the power of music, we aim to inspire the younger generation to learn about sustainable agriculture, environmental stewardship, and innovative solutions to pressing global challenges.

Our partnership with CANMusic is an excellent example of how we are using creative and innovative means to engage young people in the conversation around aquaponics. Their energetic and captivating song, "CAN Music," resonates with our core values and vision, making it an exciting and effective way to raise awareness about Eduponics and our mission.

SUPPORT US

In addition to our youth engagement initiatives, we also strive to reach a broader audience through various channels, such as workshops, community events, and social media.

By partnering with different stakeholders, including sponsors, donors, private and public organizations, we aim to create a strong network of supporters who share our vision of promoting sustainable development and environmental education through aquaponics.

Tinta Tribe is a vibrant music group born out of the townships of Cape Town. The group consists of three talented members: Shack from Siaalo, Dj ToM from Samora Machel, and Nkosiyabantu from Kosovo Informal Settlement.

Their tribal call, "Tinta! Asibizwa Singasabeli," meaning "when we are called, we answer" in isiXhosa, reflects their commitment to using their music to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.

By collaborating with Eduponics, Tinta Tribe is actively contributing to raising awareness about aquaponics and sustainable development among young people and the wider public.
